1.      SMO is above SEO: No doubt SMO is playing a big role in building your internet reputation. It plays a good role in making your target audience aware about you. Social media also helps in changing reviews of the people for your product and services. So people started believing that SMO is only the requirement of today’s time, but this perception is not true. SEO and SMO both are the part of digital marketing strategy so none of them can be ignored both share there place and importance. But another fact is that SMO just helps SEO to show it results easily and faster. So it can never take the place of SEO.

2.      Link building is dead: It’s one of the biggest myths that link building is knowing more required or its old dead technique. But let me make you this very clear link building is the basic of SEO. And basics never die. Earlier people were making wrong links and using unethical techniques to earn links therefore google released a penguin update to control these wrong practices. But if your taking links from the authortive website with the help in good and fresh content, this technique will still work for you. So create unique content, then earn back links.

3.      For organic ranking use google Adwords: Its completely wrong organic ranking means completely free. Techniques like good linking, guest blog will get you rank without paying any money to google.

4.      To get a higher rank, have a large number of indexed pages: Initially the website having large number of pages uses to get higher ranking in comparison to site having less pages. But with the panda release demand or requirement of quality content was felt. Because the website having large number of indexed pages with ambiguous content lost the ranking, while website with limited pages and quality content got better results in SERPs.
